Review:A magician in turn-of-the-last-century Vienna falls in love with a woman well above his social standing. When she becomes engaged to the crown prince, the magician uses his powers to free her and undermine the stability of the royal house of Vienna.The film starts with the arrest of the protagonist and then gets into flash back mode. As a kid he had come across an old man who had imparted some magical powers to him and disappeared.Later he uncovers a more bigger plot in the course of the movie.

The movie is a treat to watch,it takes the audience into the world of illusion where the line between reality and chimera is very thin.If you are looking for something generic and plain, then do not see this film.This movie is pure magic...err Illusion.
