Review:In the sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, and in both wizard and muggle worlds Lord Voldemort and his henchmen are increasingly active. With vacancies to fill at Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledor persuades Horace Slughorn, back from retirement to become the potions teacher, while Professor Snape receives long awaited news. Harry Potter, together with Dumbledore, must face treacherous tasks to defeat his evil nemesis Voldemort.

The film was worse, really worse if you have read the book.Every important thing,like Harry’s increasing involvement with the Half Blood Prince’s book and his insight into Voldemort’s early life, were all just secondary happenstance to the several budding romances between the lead characters.Which was frustrating at times.They miss out so many crucial points that you can’t figure out what’s happening if you haven’t read the book.The whole movie revolves around Romance and all and finished very soon IMO.Me being a huge potter maniac liked the movie,and i should.But overall the movie wont excite people who haven't read the book.

Dan was too good for his role,(except his height which is not growing at all),Helena Carter was evil and annoying,Michael Gambon was exceptional in the scene at the dark cave when Harry & Dumbledore retrieve one of the “Horcruxes”.The kid acted as young Tom riddle was excellent.Tom felton is promising. Rupert grint was good in his comic timing. Though Hermoine, Luna, Hagrid,Neville,ginny etc they didn't featured for much of the time in the movie.

Review: Manny & Ellie have settled down and are expecting a baby mammoth. Diego is feeling out of shape as he can no longer chase down gazelles – he is considering quitting the herd. Sid is feeling left out with all this and he wants a family of his own too. Since he is hardly the perfect mating material, he does the next best thing - he finds three largish eggs in a cave and adopts them as his own.
Only, they hatch into baby dinosaurs . And very soon an angry momma dinosaur emerges from a hole in the ground to take her three kids back into their world below. And she takes the hapless Sid with her as well.

Excellent movie.The best among the sequels running on this days,Ice age beats Transformer and Salvation hands down.The animation was beautiful. With each film in the series, the animation gets better. The scenery and colors were great, and the characters were well done as well.There are two new characters introduced in the movie – Scratte, a female flying squirrel who more than flutters her eyelashes at Scrat. The other is Buck, a one eyed swashbuckler of a weasel, who navigates the subterranean with aplomb while sounding like Captain Jack Sparrow.
The film is for everyone and a must watch.Just go for it.

Review:No doubt this is the most highly waited movie of this year beside Terminator salvation.Storyline grows from last part which shows autobots decided to stay back on earth. Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime, who forms an alliance with international armies for a second epic battle.

The movie lacks pace in first hour,with shia heading for new college and fighting with fox over who says "I love you first", but the movie after interval starting from ten mins before interval is pure adrenaline rush.Giant autobots,decepticons,breath taking fight scenes,shia's awesomeness in acting,hot Megan fox,this movie has all what it takes to be huge hit.But the script lacks much,feels like a script written by an 10 year old.

With somewhat bad script this movie can still be a huge hit cause of Shia(this guy is serious about his place in Hollywood now),the hot Megan fox(she has put on a bit weight for this one which looks so good on her),some new robots,hilarious Agent simmons and the scene when Optimus prime dies.The end fight where Optimus kills fallen finished off very soon though.The guy who plays shia's room mate is good for nothing.Overall this is a movie which has boring first half,action packed second half and certainly not better than first part.

For me it is definitely the funniest movie of the year. Instead of any one reason or sequence, the entire movie just works !! From start to finish ! And the movie succeeds in being a laugh riot without the vulgarity that inevitably accompanies every guys-only movie. The humour comes in form of smart one-liners, bizarre incidents and some really random images with the end credits !Mike Tyson also makes a guest appearance in the movie … and Zach Galifianakis was just whoawesome.

Review:So the much awaited movie released in India.The 4Th part of Terminator finally released in India.I was expecting a lot more than T-3 cause of two things,Christian Bale and Sam Worthington.

Movie starts with the conversation between Sam (Marcus Wright) and Helena (Dr. Serena Kogan) giving us hint about the new replacement of Arny and is soon followed by a breathtaking action sequence announcing arrival of Bale(John Connor) in Terminator movies.Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

I was fortunate to get tickets on the very first day of its release in India,and i must say i am not at all disappointed.The film has great visuals,breath taking action sequence,few larger than life characters and a lot of universal appeal from the earlier Terminator movies.I think the absence of Arnold helped in many ways,the story shifted from a central character to a more or less series.Though John Connor replaces that central character in this part.The best catch in this movie are the dialogues,the one liners,Connors radio message,Sam's words "I am your only hope" keeps a long impression nevertheless.Anton Yelchin is amazingly good as the young Kyle Reese,Bale was good shedding his batman image,Sam nailed his character on screen.Dallas was good too.Best part of the movie is return of Arnold,though in a different way.Watch it to believe it.

Review:Director Gabor Csupo's movie Bridge to Terabithia is a surprisingly good family-friendly treat.The story is about two teenagers Jess Arons and leslie burke and their magic world.Jess Aarons (Josh Hutcherson) is a lonely outsider with three sisters, the two oldest of whom tend to rule the family roost like it is their own personal playground.While Leslie Burke (AnnaSophia Robb) is new in town and feels an immediate kinship with Jess. Neighbors, she makes it her mission to become his friend, the two of them ultimately crafting their own imaginary world the name Terabithia.The story is all about fantasy,dreaming, friendship and pure magic.

I fell in love with Annasophia after watching this movie :p
Really she is so cute in this movie.Definately a must watch for all kind of audiences.I have not gone through Paterson's novel before but after watching the movie am sure i dont have to.The best thing about this movie is its innocence,the heartfelt emotions and the strong human adventure at its center more than enough to warrant a recommendation.

Review: The Game Plan is a story of a famous NFL quarterback named Joe Kingman. Joe Kingman has dedicated his life to embodying every spoiled, selfish, celebrity bachelor stereotype… or at least the ones that are approved by Disney. His football team is on its way to the playoffs and Joe is on top of the world, until a little girl shows up on his doorstep claiming to be his daughter. Joe thinks she’s been abandoned by her mother, but actually this 8-year-old little cutie has put into motion the kind of master plan that you usually only see in a Mission Impossible movie in order to be with him. Because this is a movie, Joe’s daughter has all the answers while he’s kind of an idiot. Because of course, kids know more than adults.
The film revolves up and ends shaping up a great father-daughter relationship.

I am a big fan of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.Absolutely loved the movie,story and screenplay never leaves you dull for a moment.If you want to see a decent sports movie with your family or friends this one is a great pick.

Ouimet was a caddy , at a time when golf was an aristocratic sport. His parents were immigrants, but his house was directly across the road from the Brookline Golf Club . His father, a French immigrant, did just about everything possible to discourage his son's interest in what he considered to be a waste of time.But in the end Vardon was the one most likely to give Ouimet the respect he deserved—one sportsman to another.


A lovely story of man against all odds,and who one day stoop up and achieved his goal.Though not being a fan of golf i relly enjoyed the film.Acting from some of the cast is good.The ending just keeps you to the edge of your seat.All is all The Greatest Game Ever Played is a decent movie to watch over weekend.

Review:I was waiting for this Pixar flick since ages.Being a big fan of Pixar i was expecting them to do one step ahead of their last one.There’s one thing you can always say for a Pixar movie. It WILL be a box office smash.

Well Up is a story of Carl Frederickson, a quiet young man who falls in love with Ellie, a young firebrand dedicated to the pursuit of adventure, both of which share a common love of the tales of industrialist adventurer Charles Muntz.Fast forward to the future, Carl, now a widower, finds himself in a position to realize his and his late wife’s dream…but it won’t be anywhere near as simple as he imagines.This begins a tale of adventure and laughs that’ll easily rank Up among Pixar’s best.

I am happy,excited and proud to have witnessed this great movie by PIXAR.The little boy,the album of old couple,the crossing heart, floating house.talking dog,strange bird and the adventure will just set your mood.Just go for it guys.

The movie is a treat to watch,it takes the audience into the world of illusion where the line between reality and chimera is very thin.If you are looking for something generic and plain, then do not see this film.This movie is pure magic...err Illusion.

Review:Chev chelios returns again,only this time with more vengeance,more gore,more bone breaking and more energy.The film opens with a sequence designed to look like a classic video game, depicting Chev Chelios(Jason Statham) fall from a helicopter during the final moments of the original Crank. Immediately after his fall, he is scooped off the street via snow shovel by group of Chinese medics and removed from the scene.He wakes up in a makeshift hospital and sees doctors removing his heart while Johnny Vang (Art Hsu) watches. The doctors place Chev's heart in a red cooler with a padlock, and place a clear plastic artificial heart in his chest. Chev passes out.

Whole movie runs around Chelios search for his heart.Chev chelios is indestructible,bounce him off a car, throw him into fire, toss him out a helicopter, force him to have sex with Amy Smart,he enjoys every bit of it.Some scenes are funny enough to help you giggle and some are pretty dumb.It ends up in a weirdest manner than you can expect.


I so loved statham in original Crank.Crank 2(HIgh voltage) goes one step forward in insanity,its the most dumbest ever sequel made in Hollywood.It has all,action,emotion,sex,comedy and some weirdest stuffs.But certainly not enjoyable.Stay all the way through the credits. Lots of little extra bits in there.And beware one part follows it.

After Finding Nemo this movie can be termed as Pixar's one of the finest products.The film entertains you in all ways.Aptly said "Not everyone can be a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere."

Review:Life is one long insane trip. Some people just have better directions.
Donnie Darko follows a boy of superior intelligence whose emotional problems propel him on a very strange trajectory through a tangent universe. Donnie’s journey begins when he dreams about a rabbit telling him to leave the house. He follows the rabbit, and escapes being killed by a falling airplane part of unknown origin. But the rabbit tells him that the world is going to end in twenty-eight days. Donnie’s been given life and death at once. The film ends up in a quite strange way as least expected.

A good movie.Truly treat to watch.I spend a very good 2 hours watching this Richard Kelly's flick and enjoyed it to core.28 days... 6 hours... 42 minutes... 12 seconds. That... is when the world... will end.

Review:After the X-men trilogy comes this action packed movie of director Gavin hood and is eventually highly panned by critics.Its a story about James logan(Hugh) and his half brother Victor creed(Liev) or Sabertooth.In past they are seen fighting together in the American Civil War, World War I, World War II, and eventually the Vietnam War. Their regenerative powers keep them from being killed in the battlefield.The story is about Logans vengeance,rebuild and destruction leading into his self-discovery towards the end of the movie.William stryker (Danny) is the villain and he is outstanding all through the movie.Depending on which theater the movie was shown in, one of two possible endings then appears following the credits. In the first ending, Weapon XI's hand reaches out from the rubble of the nuclear complex to touch his severed head. The second alternate ending shows Logan drinking at a bar in Japan. The bartender asks if he is drinking to forget; Logan replies that he's drinking to remember. So all in all its a entertaining die hard comic book movie for masses.

I being a huge fan of X-Men trilogy loved this movie.Hugh was awesome in his role.Liev was good in parts,danny was too evil and too lethal.Interesting package was Ryan reynolds(Deadpool).I never really missed cyclops though.

Note:The film has several additional scenes during and after the credits.Do not miss it.

What it didn't stop was other countries finding out and setting up their own branches, or divisions.Director Paul McGuigan movie 'Push' is completely based on three such gifted human beings.The story starts with Nick(Evans) whose father was killed in a motel room,which leads him to live a low profile life apart from world and has nothing exciting to do in life apart from playing dice in roads for money. Until one day a young girl called Cassie holmes(Dakota) called herself second generation watcher comes to Nick talking about Division,a strange girl and 6 million dollars.It starts a journey of Nick,cassie and towards escaping the Division forever.This film has pushers(one who can "push" people into believing that certain things are or aren't true ),bleeders (emit high-pitched sonic screams that make ears bleed) , sniffers (Sniffs can take any object and get a history of where it's been in relation to its owner), movers (can move objects and people with their minds)and Shadows (people whose ability is basically to block the effectiveness of other clairvoyants). The chemistry of Evans and belle was good.

Not at all entertaining,the movie lacks pace at times.Its all describing movie with little excitement for audience. Dakota fanning improved a lot over time,Chris was good in parts.Apart from it the film has nothing to offer.

Knowing that he is dying, he sets out with a stolen quantity of PU 239, a weapons grade form of radioactive material.Timofey is determined to do whatever he can to smooth the way for his loved ones in a new Russia that's nearly as unkind as the old one.The film also has a character named Shiv(Oscar Isaac),He Convinces convinces Timofey he can find a buyer for the plutonium.The story runs on how they figure out life and eventually death by the bullet from the Moscow criminal.

Pu-239 is not a movie for mass,it has the essence of Moscow street and some brilliant acting from the central characters.Pu-239 is a story of heroes who loved their family more than themselves.definitely a treat to watch.

Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman)is the central character in the movie who leads a pretty normal life,hanging out with friends,boyfriend.But things soon took a turn in her normal life when she started dreaming about nasty bugs,fetuses and images behind her. Until the day she discovered she killed her twin brother in her mother uterus,She started visualizing her mother strange suicide and viewing her twin part brother in places.She meets an elderly woman who tells her tales of bad spirits,known as dybbuks.Film progresses with gripping fear on Odette's life and ends with an exorcism by none other than Gary oldman.

So all in all a not so happening movie for horror lovers,its is ok with certain scenes (dog with the mask)are really horrifying.It was disappointing for me after watching Omen,shutter and The exorcist.The unborn could have been better,more horrifying.

Review:Its a story about a lovely couple John Grogan(Owen) and Jennifer Grogan(Aniston) and their dog (Marley).The story starts when John and Jenny relocate to South Florida from Michigan and decide to adopt a dog rather than having kids right away, given their busy jobs at daily newspapers. But instead of a peaceful pet they end up with Marley, a dog who will eat anything, cries nonstop during thunderstorms, and grows into a giant lab who yanks the both of them along on the leash.John's friend Sebastian (Eric Dane) uses Marley as a chick magnet, while John and Jen suffer through failed obedience lessons, endless shredded sofas, and a long series of public misadventures that begin with the dog hightailing away from his owners.
The film gradually goes on with the story of good times,fun time,bad time,play time of a family and the lovely dog marley finally leading to a sad climax.

I loved the movie,as a dog lover and i have two dogs of my own i can relate myself to the couple at parts.Marley is absolutely a gem of a dog and a very adorable one.Not even for a sec i removed my eyes from screen when Marley is in screen.Surely this movie is for those looking to evoke their own fond dog memories and spend some hours being moderately entertained.

Review:Paul Blart(Kevin james) can be the most laziest character when you come across him,he has his own ways to failure and have a very messed up life of his own.As the tag line says "Safety never takes a holiday"the film was pretty good summary of Paul's life from zero to a hero.The story starts with showing viewers how Paul have messed up his own life and ends up as a Shopping mall Security guard,he has a caring mom(Shirley Knight),a lovely girl(Raini Rodriguez) who loves him very much and a run-away wife.Paul likes a wig seller women in shopping maul but due to his messy life couldn't able to express her feelings to her.So it was going all messy until came Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, and some high tech criminals stage a lock down and a hostage situation at the mall as they pull off their theft plan. They place motion sensors and small bombs at the entrances, so no one can get in or out. They think they've removed everyone from the building, but didn't notice Paul was in the back of the arcade playing Guitar Hero.
In the End Paul after a bit of hiccups saves the day ahead of his old school mate and Commander Kent(Bobby Cannavale),then becomes hero gets his girl and all.

I enjoyed the movie as a whole ,Its made mainly for kids in my opinion.The humour is pretty simple and goofy at times.If you wants to spend time with your family over weekend watching some good comedy this movie is a great pick.

Review:The movie tag line is For Honor and indeed this film is a honor to Hollywood.Director Wolfgang Petersen writes history in silver screen.A treat to watch Troy is set on an adaptation of Homer's great epic, the film follows the assault on Troy by the united Greek forces and chronicles the fates of the men involved.It is the year 1250 B.C and it shows love story of Trojan prince (bloom) and Helen (Diane) and what follows next.Troy is a story of pride and honor for fighting for something you love more than yourself.Apart from the story we all know few actors stood their ground in this movie,the famous Achilles (pitt),Hector (Eric Bana) and Andromache (Saffron Burrows) are naming a few.

Screenwriter David Benioff changed up the story to help it reach out to more people,but frankly that didn't mattered at all.The action scenes with Pitt are amazingly filmed and choreographed. All the other actors play their parts well also, with Bloom proving that he can play a weak character after playing so many strong ones.Troy is an entertaining summer flick.If you have not watched it rent a DVD soon or better BUY IT!

Review:His love for her forced fate to change
Director Gil Junger's If only is a story about a couple Samantha Andrews(Jennifer) and Ian Wyndham(paul).They were never happy in a relationship and always had a fight (and nearly broke up)from time to times until one day Samantha, dies in an accident.That left Ian heartbroken and he realizes what he had, but of course it’s too late to make amends.But by grace of god(or the taxi driver -Tom Wilkinson) or may be some miracle when he wakes up the next morning, Samantha is alive again.And strangely except Ian no one remembers about her death.The film then revolves around Ian and Samantha where Ian tries to battles confusion, followed by realization, becomes lost in desperation, and finally discovers acceptance of what’s happened, and will happen.
The ending part will leave you speechless.

I think this is the best romantic movie i have ever seen.This was a movie with a message, which sets u into deep thinking about life. Awesome.

Review :They only met once, but it changed their lives forever. Breakfast club is about five students in detention on a non-school day,each of the five different characters are five different characters with different backgrounds,aspirations or lack of it,so the whole movie is about these five guys locked up in a room with a grumpy teacher to keep an eye on them.Its about being teenager,spending the most precious time of our life.Its fun,roller coaster ride through the college life and beyond.

Its my all time favorite teen movie highly recommend it.

Review: The movie tag line says 'Be careful what you wish for'.I saw this movie with lot of wishes actually,wished to enjoy a animated movie after Wall-E.And i can say now I enjoyed every bit of it.Coraline is a story of A young adventurous girl Coraline Jones,who recently shifted to a new place with her mom and dad.Poor girl is having a pretty busy family, both Mom and Dad don't have much time to talk to or otherwise pay attention to Coraline.So she continues her adventures in nearby wood and in her big home too.She meets this whiz-kid Wybie (Robert Bailey Jr) in woods and they became friends,he gifts her a look-alike doll.Things were quite good when one day Coraline walks through a secret door in her new home and discovers an alternate version of her life. A whole new world with a 'other mother','other father','other Wybie' and even 'other neighbours'.But all of them buttons sewed to eyes instead of real eyes.Other Mother and Other Father want Coraline to stay with them in their world where they promise to lavish love and attention on her in ways her own parents have been neglecting to do .But soon her adventure turns dangerous when she discovers the ugly part of the new discovered world.

As a grown up i loved the movie,Coraline is definitely not for kids.Its a real enjoyable film for teens i must say,more over the film is rated PG for images,some dialogues.The film takes stop motion animation to a whole new level.A definite pick if its running in a nearby theatre to you,watch this film which is going to Oscar's next year for sure.

Review : Christopher Gardner ,this name you will remember surely for a long time after watching Gabriele Muccino's classic "Pursuit of happyness". Inspired by a true story this movie indeed is Will smith's one step forward to the golden lady.
The film revolves round Chris Gardner(Will) and his son Christopher(Jaden Smith- son of Will and Jada Pinkett)who tries to sale a bone scanner throughout the movie.Her wife Linda (Thandie Newton) depressed of her marital life and out of sheer depression leaves for Newyork leaving her family. Life became a mere search of 'happyness' for father and son from thereafter.The miss spelling of happyness is indeed sarcastic to its core.Soon the father-son looses home,had to literally hunt down food in the streets.Christopher became desperate and with every passing day the hunt for happiness made him more desperate.He applies for a stockbroker internship where one in twenty has a chance of a lucrative full time career.But the real touchy part is towards the end,final scene were just too good for any movie buff.

I absolutely love this movie.It teaches us Two ways to be rich: One is to have great wealth. The other is to have few wants .It is one of my favourite films made ever.If you have missed it in theatres do rent a CD soon from a nearby CD-library.
